Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather
Raul Perez, 73, of Carteret passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to the late Jose and Maria Ana (Quiles) Perez, he moved to the Bronx, New York at age18. He later moved to Newark before moving to Carteret 13 years ago. Before his retirement he was self-employed as a Diamond Cutter in the Diamond District in Manhattan. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his sister Ana Elba Perez.
The beloved husband of Nydia T. (Maldonado) Perez, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Ivelisse Perez and Wendy (Perez) Aranda and her husband Melvin, his four caring grandchildren, Caeley F. & Annalisse J. McAuliffe, Mia Vivienne and Noah Jonathan Aranda, four brothers Jose H., Miguel A., Aramis and Abel, and three sisters, Maria J. Colon, Miriam Valencia, and Lucy Parrilla.
The funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 3rd at 11 a.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre Street, Nutley New Jersey.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday September 2nd from 4-8 p.m.
