Lawrence A. Grab, 76 of North Port, FL passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born in Newark, the son of George and Anna (Cravitz) Grab, he lived in Nutley prior to moving to Florida 5 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, he was an HVAC mechanic and the owner of Century Cooling & Heating in Nutley for 25 years.
Lawrence was an Army Veteran of the Berlin Crisis, a member of the Nutley Elks BPOE 1290, American Legion Post 70 in Nutley and a volunteer with the Punta Gorda Marine Police.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy (Napatano) Grab; his children, Jo-Ann Irving and her husband, Dean and Larry Grab and his partner, Brian; 5 grandchildren, Gabriella, Zachary and Dominick Babut and Jesse and Nicole Irving and his sister, Barbara Simmons.
Along with his parents, Larry was predeceased by his brother, Eugene.
The funeral will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The cremation services will be private.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association (http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/) would be appreciated.
