Life of the party who will be greatly missed…
Giuseppa Costa, 88 of Pompton Lakes, passed away on Thursday June 20, 2019. Born in Barrafranca, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and Epifania (Caputo) Baglio. She emigrated from Italy to the United States in 1956 and lived in Paterson before coming to Pompton Lakes in 1975. Mrs. Costa was employed as a seamstress before retiring and along with her husband, Giovanni, was a member of the Sons of Italy in Wayne. Giuseppa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giovanni, her, son-in-law, Carletto Lamenta and her grandson, Joey. She leaves her loving daughters, Anna Maria Valenti and husband, Gino and Antoinetta Lamenta, her grandchildren, Jack, Anthony, Maria, Santino, John and Carletto, Jr. and 17 great grandchildren, Melanie, April, Gino, Hayes, Amelia, Jamie, Gabriel, Hailey, Anthony, Jr., Alexander, Adrianna, Brianna, Gabriella, Alessio, Arianna, Giavanna & Julianna. She was also the dear sister of Fina Marino and the late Salvatore and Cateno Baglio and the late Marianna LaFemina.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday June 24 at 9:45 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:45 am followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 pm.
